High Fidelity

The purpose of this project was to design an amazing landing page with a call to action to buy tickets for a huge bowling party that will generate revenue for the local bowling alley. The main attraction to this event was Beyoncé, who’s an avid bowler.

I first started this project by looking up some of Beyoncé latest hits. I knew her newest album, Renaissance, had debuted late July 2022. I wanted to create a landing page based off of one of the songs from the album because I knew the “Beyhive” would love a landing page inspired by one of her newer hits.

Sketched Wireframes

I then researched examples of landing pages on dribbble.com for inspiration of landing page layouts. After getting enough inspiration, I sketched a wireframe of the landing page.

From the sketched wireframe, I created a low fidelity and mid fidelity mockups of the landing page and made adjustments accordingly.

After having a tough time deciding which song to pick (because they’re all great!) I decided to go with “Cuff It” because it’s about going out and having a good time. I also liked the esthetics of the music video which takes place in a dark place with lots of pink and red colors.

I then searched for images of Beyoncé from the Cuff It music video as well as other images where she’s wearing red or pink. I used the eyedropper tool to extract pink colors from the images to create the color palette as well as dark colors for a background for the landing page.

1st Version

The feedback I received for this landing page was that the pink orbs in the background were too distracting, that I shouldn’t have“chopped-off” Beyoncé bottom half, and that I should make the image of her take up the right side of the landing page.
